Hiring the Quartet:
The Quartet reserves the right to use substitute players without notice due to players unavailability.
The fee for the hire of The No Strings Attached Quartet (the Quartet) includes the 4 musicians, the set-up, the number of hours requested on your booking form and mileage within Jersey. There may also be additional charges for music not currently in our repertoire that we need specially written or arranged.
The total fee will be advised to you before you pay your deposit.
To make a booking with us, you will need to complete the Booking Request Form, available from www.nostrings.je (the website) in addition to which, we require you to agree to these Terms & Conditions.
By completing the booking request form you accept, understand and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Once we have received your completed form, we will contact you to confirm the booking and fee. At this point you will also need to provide a deposit of 25%.
We will not secure your booking until this deposit is received.
The balance will be payable either in cash or cheque to ‘No Strings Attached Quartet’ no later than 3 days before the event. We will also accept a bank transfer providing that funds are cleared into the Quartet bank account no later than 3 days before the event.
Generally please allow 4 working days for funds to clear. If you would prefer to pay the full fee at the time of the deposit, please feel free to do so.
Please note that late payments will incur a surcharge of 5% of the total fee (including the deposit) which will roll over monthly until the balance is paid in full.
Please make cheques payable to ‘No Strings Attached Quartet’.
Equipment:
The Quartet does not supply its own PA system.
Should the size of the venue require any amplification, it remains the responsibility of those hiring the Quartet to provide any such equipment. The Quartet require four armless chairs to be made available for all events.
Cancellation Policy:
Once the booking has been confirmed and deposit received, any cancellation by you before the event date will result in the loss of that deposit.
Please be advised that any cancellations made within the 48 hours preceding the event will require full payment for the hire of the Quartet.
In the extremely unlikely event that the Quartet should have to withdraw from the event, you will be refunded any fees paid.
Extra Hours:
Fees will be payable as per our Rate Card if you request us to play longer on the day or if we are required to stay longer at your event, and is dependent on the availability of all players.
These fees will be invoiced to you within 7 days with payment due 14 days from invoice date.
Minimum Set-up Requirements:
A string quartet consists of 2 violins, 1 viola and a cello.
We sit to perform and so will require 4 armless chairs and a minimum space of 1.5m x 2.5m (approx. 5′ x 8′).
Please ensure that sufficient water is provided for all four players.
Due to the demanding nature of continuous musical performance, if No Strings Attached Quartet are booked for longer than 90 minutes, we reserve the right to take a 10 minute break in the first 2 hours, with an additional 10 minutes for ever hour over 2 hours that we are booked for.
